Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Recroo ("the Service") at recroo.in, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.

2. Description of service

Recroo is an AI-powered résumé analysis tool that scores your résumé against a job description and provides improvement suggestions. The Service is provided on an "as is" basis and is intended for personal, non-commercial use by job seekers.

We use AI models (Anthropic's Claude) to generate analysis. AI outputs are suggestions only — they do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or suitability for any particular job application.

3. User accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• One person may not maintain more than one free account.

4. Free tier and fair use

The free tier provides 3 ATS scans per month with no payment required. To protect service quality for all users, we reserve the right to limit or suspend free usage if we detect patterns consistent with abuse, automation, or circumvention of plan limits.

5. Paid subscriptions

• Billing: Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. Payment is processed by Razorpay.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew each month unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Cancellation: You may cancel at any time from your account settings. You retain access until the end of the paid billing period. No partial refunds for unused time.
• Refunds: We offer a 7-day refund for first-time subscribers if you are unsatisfied. Contact hello@recroo.in within 7 days of your first charge. See our Refund Policy for full details.
• Price changes: We will give 30 days' notice of any price increases before they take effect on your subscription.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Attempt to access the Service through automated means (bots, scrapers, scripts) beyond normal usage.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or AI prompts of the Service.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or its outputs without written permission.
• Upload résumés containing false, fraudulent, or malicious content.
• Attempt to circumvent plan limits by creating multiple accounts.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of all résumé content and documents you upload. By using the Service, you grant Recroo a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

We do not claim ownership of your résumé. We do not use your résumé content to train AI models.

8. No employment guarantee

Recroo provides résumé analysis and suggestions as an informational tool only. We make no warranty or representation that using the Service will result in job interviews, offers, or employment. Hiring decisions are made solely by employers.

9. Intellectual property

The Recroo name, logo, website design, and all original content (excluding user-submitted résumés) are the intellectual property of Recroo and are protected under applicable Indian and international law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated suggestions will be accurate or suitable for your specific situation.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Recroo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of employment opportunity, loss of data, or business losses.

Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

12. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. We will provide reasonable notice for planned downtime where possible.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of material changes by email or prominent notice on the site at least 15 days before they take effect.
